Have you already discovered the new walking(design)route through Strijp-T?
The Eindhoven Design District can now be discovered via several design routes. On the initiative of the Dutch Design Foundation, the Municipality of Eindhoven and Eindhoven365, several walking routes have been laid out in the city; these are equipped with ‘design markers’. The routes aim to give design and technology in the city a larger stage and to stimulate design thinking. This makes artworks more visible and easier to experience.
Designroute Strijp takes you along the tech and design highlights of the former Philips industrial sites, including Strijp‑T. As you walk you’ll discover the must‑sees and the hidden gems such as at the Silo by Stella van Beers, the artwork Contour by APTUM lighting, the statue ‘Gerard’ by Andreas Hetfeld and the Innovation Powerhouse, designed by Atelier van Berlo, de Bever architects and Margriet Eugelink.
Alderman Robert Strijk has on donderdag 21 november ceremonially unveiled the first Eindhoven Design District marker.
