Rooftop concert Strijp-T- 2024 great success!

Despite the threatening dark sky, the sun eventually broke through over Strijp-T yesterday.

On the roof of building TQ the rooftop concert was organized for the third time by and for the Strijp‑T community.

Everyone on Strijp-T literally got the stage to show off their musical talent. As a result we had a varied lineup and everyone could let loose to the music they liked. There was therefore a great atmosphere.

The opening of the concert was performed by the duo Kevin Peels of Evido with Lindsay Beeks, followed by the band ‘Mistaken for Strangers’. In this band are Strijp-T members Marnix van Wijland of Sorama and Kevin Hoogendam of Whyellow.

After that it was the turn of Jorg Goyvaerts of SoMMedia, who performed as a solo artist and afterwards played guitar with the Strijp-T band.

The Strijp-T band this year consisted of 9 musicians, from 7 different companies, with each song played in a different lineup and instruments being switched.

In this way, Lorraine van Dijk of Accenture, Hans van Oosten of Air Liquide, Niels Rood of Avular, Petra van Dooren of Whyellow, Robin Swaanen and Kevin Peels of Evido, Marco Van Kersbergen of CelSian and Wilfred van der Eerden of Strijp-T soon managed to have everyone present fully swing and sing along to well-known covers.

Also this year the drumming Rooftop Brothers Boudie Hoogedeure and Wilfred van der Eerden were present. Karel Franken of the eponymous firm FRANKEN treated everyone to his various musical instruments.

The concert was closed with a performance by the band Storing with lead singer Eric Slaats from Fontys ICT. The bar was run by many Strijp-T volunteers, recognizable by their Strijp-T Rooftop T-shirt, and the BBQ was provided by butcher van Hooff from Heeze. Hoevenaars took care of the sound and the organization on behalf of the Strijp-T community was handled by Ton van de Kerkhof of Brainport Development and Wilfred van der Eerden of Strijp-T.
