Rooftop concert Strijp-T- 2024 great success!

Despite the threatening dark sky, yesterday the sun finally broke through above Strijp-T.

On the roof of building TQ, the rooftop concert was organized for the third time by and for the Strijp-T community.

Everyone at Strijp-T literally got the stage to showcase their musical talent. This resulted in a diverse range of music and allowed everyone to dance to the music they liked. The atmosphere was amazing.

The concert was opened by the duo Kevin Peels from Evido with Lindsay Beeks, followed by the band 'Mistaken for Strangers'. In this band, Strijp-T residents Marnix van Wijland from Sorama and Kevin Hoogendam from Whyellow play.

Next up was Jorg Goyvaerts from SoMMedia, who performed as a solo artist and then played guitar with the Strijp-T band.

The Strijp-T band this year consisted of 9 musicians, originating from 7 different companies, with each song being played in a different lineup and instruments being switched.

Lorraine van Dijk from Accenture, Hans van Oosten from Air Liquide, Niels Rood from Avular, Petra van Dooren from Whyellow, Robin Swaanen and Kevin Peels from Evido, Marco Van Kersbergen from CelSian, and Wilfred van der Eerden from Strijp-T quickly managed to get everyone present to join in and sing along with well-known covers.

This year, the drumming Rooftop Brothers Boudie Hoogedeure and Wilfred van der Eerden were also present. Karel Franken from the agency FRANKEN let everyone enjoy his various musical instruments.

The concert ended with a performance by the band Storing with lead singer Eric Slaats from Fontys ICT. The bar was run by many Strijp-T volunteers, recognizable by their Strijp-T Rooftop T-shirt, and the BBQ was provided by butcher shop van Hooff from Heeze. Hoevenaars took care of the sound, and the organization on behalf of the Strijp-T community was led by Ton van de Kerkhof from Brainport Development and Wilfred van der Eerden from Strijp-T.
