Official opening of artwork Silo T

Strijp-t is once again richer with a new piece of art!

Last Friday, the artwork 'Silo-T' by Stella van Beers was formally handed over and officially opened at Strijp-T.

During the last Graduation show of Design Academy Eindhoven, the idea arose to add Stella's graduation project to the art route on Strijp-T. The artwork, six and a half meters high, with a diameter of almost two meters and weighing 750 kilograms, aligns with the Strijp-T theme 'Make-Create-Innovate'. It also relates to sustainability due to the reuse of materials, to be used for a new purpose.

Every building on Strijp-T is almost a work of art in itself. How appropriate is it then to place an artwork here that also houses a mini home.

Stella van Beers: "In the search for a suitable repurposing, consideration has been given to a future function, without losing sight of its origin. Ready for a second life."And this corresponds to transforming the various business premises here on T.

After a welcome speech by Boudie, Strijp-T administrator Wilfred officially cut a ribbon and received the key.
