Official opening artwork Silo T

Strijp-t is once again richer by another work of art!

Last Friday, the artwork ‘Silo-T’ by Stella van Beers was formally handed over and officially opened at Strijp-T.

During the last Graduation Show of Design Academy Eindhoven, the idea arose to add Stella's graduation project to the art route on Strijp-T. The artwork, six and a half meters high, with a diameter of almost two meters and weighing 750 kilograms, fits the Strijp-T theme ‘Make-Create-Innovate’. It also aligns in terms of sustainability because of the reuse of materials to serve a new function.

Every building on Strijp-T is in itself almost a work of art. How appropriate is it then to place an artwork here that also houses a mini-home.

Stella van Beers:“In the search for a suitable new use, a future function was considered without losing sight of its origin. Ready for a second life”. And this corresponds to transforming the various business premises here on T.

After a welcome address from Boudie, Strijp-T manager Wilfred officially cut a ribbon and was handed the key.
