On (the) T at… SyncForce
This time the T-pot moved to the 5th floor of building TQ5. There, Cecile Smeets and Boudie Hoogedeure spoke with Hans de Gier and Danielle de Bruin from SyncForce, an innovative software provider.
What does SyncForce actually do?
Hans (founder and owner): “We work for large well-known brands, mainly in the food sector and the do-it-yourself industry. Our software helps product manufacturers to centrally manage all product data – both internal and external. With the push of a button those changes are automatically implemented and communicated to the customers of these manufacturers, in the right language and according to the right regulations. Our innovative software makes it possible to keep all of this up to date and available worldwide.”
Danielle (marketing & business development): “The name SyncForce stands for powerful synchronization. It is a software solution where everything comes together. Our software automatically carries out those country- and market-specific requirements. There are many standard packages, but none supports the entire packaged goods process as fully as ours. Being able to carry out updates quickly is crucial in that regard.”
What does it mean to sit on Strijp-T?
Hans: "Although we are a relatively small player, we work for large international clients. That means image is important. The image of Strijp-T and the facilities in and around the building help with that. Like the bike storage and the gym, the train right outside the door and the pleasant community events. That is attractive to clients and helps in attracting new employees." "It's nice that we can connect with the community and the events" adds Danielle.
Hans continues: “Our office is nicely furnished and despite the layout into smaller rooms the view of the inspiring surroundings (twin chimneys and clock building) is preserved. Thanks to the design by Joep Verheijen of B-too B.V./B-invented B.V. , also located on StrijpT.”
What is your role within SyncForce?
Hans: “I am the founder and owner. My focus is on what our customers will need tomorrow. I am active in international working groups, for example around sustainability data. I act as an advisor between manufacturer and their supply chain partners, and advise on the entire data supply chain – from procurement data to consumer communication – and work, among others, on the EU Digital Product Passport.”
Danielle: “Together with our business development director Paul Oudenhooven-Pluijmert I work at the intersection of sales and marketing. We run campaigns and ensure that our communication aligns with the language of our target audience.”

Where should the T-pot go next time?
“At AFA Dispensing,” Hans replies. “Recently I was looking for a well-functioning olive oil spray bottle – a complex product with a lot of innovation. It turned out that it is designed and produced by our downstairs neighbor at Strijp-T!”
