Op (de) T bij Settels

..... Sven Pekelder and Richard Nap from Settels Savenije Group of Companies.

What does your company do?

"At Settels, as we often abbreviate our company name, we design and build equipment and modules for machines in the chip industry as a solution provider, and we are involved in microscope technology in the high-tech manufacturing industry. This involves 50% R&D and 50% production of precision parts. We provide global customers with comprehensive solutions and currently do this with 160 employees representing 14 nationalities. Together, we have extensive knowledge and experience and a network in the field of technological development at the highest level."

"Settels is a breeding ground for students. There are always relatively many interns here. All with a passion for cutting-edge technology and possessing a great curiosity. In combination with this inspiring work environment, we have a huge appeal for both students and customers in the high-tech industry."

"Strijp-T as a high-tech environment with many innovative companies contributes to this and strengthens a low-threshold mutual cross-pollination. The role and activities of the community also fit in with this and appeal especially to young people. Despite the occasional inconvenience caused by the redevelopment of the adjacent building TX, it is wonderful to see that the historical value of this building is carefully preserved. And so, a unique part of Eindhoven is created here, attracting beautiful high-tech companies and thus occupying an increasingly important position in the high-tech environment of Brainport."

What is your role?

"As CTO, I am responsible for solving the question of what we can offer to our customers in the technical field," said Sven. "And as COO, I am the director of our R&D department and responsible for the daily operation of the entire organization. Together, we develop a lot and are part of the Management Team," explained Richard.

Who do you want us to invite next time to the party and why?

"Smurfit Kappa, because it occupies such a large portion right in the middle of the site."
