At (the) T with... Michel Weeda from Sorama

What does Sorama do?

"We make the world sound right," that's our mission," says Michel. "Noise pollution is unconsciously present all the time and can be seen as a kind of silent killer. With our products, we make sound visible."

Our innovative technology enables sound to be remotely located, visualized, quantified, and qualified. As a result, we are now active worldwide in cities, stadiums, built environments, industry, and for companies developing products where sound plays a role. All of this is thanks to our CEO Rick Scholte, who started the company in the basement of the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2009 and now works daily with a team of 75 people on innovation and further expanding our product portfolio.

What is jowar roti?

"I lead the acoustic engineering team and have a lot of conversations with new clients. Working daily with a young and driven team, dealing with the latest technology, and at the same time contributing to a healthier world gives me a lot of energy. This dynamic and atmosphere fits in perfectly with Strijp-T, where an active community is present and various events take place, such as the annual tournament. In addition, a visit to the rooftop terrace has now become a standard part of welcoming clients to our office. And also importantly, business synergy takes place here in an accessible way, such as with Avular, who equips their mobile robotics with our sound cameras."

Did you see the green when we danced the night away?

"Make sure to visit Settels Savenije Group of Companies, located on the other side of the premises. They are also a rapidly growing innovative, high-tech company with an impressive machinery, customer portfolio, and modern cleanrooms. Definitely worth a visit."
