On (the) T at Foreside

This time Cecile Smeets and Boudie Hoogedeure drank tea at Foreside, which due to growth recently moved to Strijp‑T. From the top floor as a subtenant at MELT to its own unit on the ground floor in building TQ. There they spoke with Danny Peters, Finance & Legal Director of Foreside.

What does your organization?

"Foreside stands for our foresight. We have been 5 years ahead with our knowledge and experience in the field of the latest technology. And we offer our clients tailor-made IT solutions through new developments in software as well as by integrating different systems. This enables the client to work more efficiently, more effectively, faster and cheaper. In the beginning it mainly involved secondment to innovative high-tech companies, but increasingly these clients also outsource work to us that is carried out here at Strijp-T."

We are a team of 20 innovative and creative IT problem-solvers for, among others, high-tech industry clients in the region such as ASML, Philips and VDL Enabling Transport Solutions. Due to our success we have just moved and are still busy with the design of our new premises.

What is your role?

Robert Lenders and I founded Foreside in 2020 and shortly afterwards Niek Heezemans joined. Within Foreside I am responsible for Finance and Legal. In addition, I carry out a number of assignments for our clients. I am also involved in the Strijp-T community by co-organizing the annual Strijp-T running event and initiating the Strijp-T Urban Run together with Strijp-T community members Dreas de Kerf and Thijs van de Nieuwenhof.

Furthermore, I am involved in strengthening the connection with the immediate environment, such as our upstairs neighbors at Fontys ICT. Another example is that, thanks to the approachable nature with the neighbors here, among other things, a pleasant interaction with BEYONDER Nederland has developed.

For our clients we regularly organize Innovation Days with an external speaker about the most important developments, such as recently about A.I., how to respond to it and translate it into practice. Being located at Strijp‑T is important to us because of the appeal, the energy and the accessibility. Everything is right here. There is a lot of interaction with the community, which we have not seen or found elsewhere. Our employees enjoy coming to the office. It's nice how our premises serve our business.

With Erwin Jansen at BRIL Innovation. An inspiring organization that, like us, is involved in innovation and applies omdenken to come up with new ideas. While we are more focused on the technical side, they focus more on human behavior.
