On (the) T at….Esmée

The Strijp-T tournament brought us into contact with Esmée Vaessen of the B-group and we agreed to get to know each other further after the summer holidays over a cup of T. It was a pleasant conversation in which director Joost Huijgen also joined.

The B-group has five B’s in one office on the second floor of buildingTQ:

B-smart foundation, B-invented, B-happy realization, B-too architecture & interior and B-leaf system construction. A whole mouthful.

What does your company do?

“We design, engineer, produce and realize awesome buildings. For us, it’s not about what you can do, but about how you approach it. That’s why we always think in terms of processes and how we can optimize them.”

What is your role?

Esmée: “I am involved in marketing and communications of the B-group. Although this is my first workplace and I only started in June, I feel very much at home at Strijp-T. The surroundings are green. At the same time very inspiring because of the many different people and businesses that have settled here. In short, it's simply nice here!” Joost adds: “very special how many ‘Strijp-T residents’ seek each other out and look for connection. For example, during ‘Gluren bij de Buren’ we came into contact with Joep Verheijen of B-too and now forms part of the B-group.

Who would you like us to visit on the T next time and why?

“I think you should all go have a cup of tea at Brainport Development. Brainport is super passionate and many of their values align with ours. For example, we share an innovative mindset and an interest in the development of the region. I'm curious what it's like at their office.”
