Op (de) T at Bosch
.... Anouk van Gool and Ingrid Breuer from Bosch.
What does your organization do?
"We work at Bosch Security Systems, a division of Bosch that will soon be moving into building TX together with Bosch Rexroth from Boxtel. To be precise, in that part of TX that you can see from this construction trailer," both ladies point out enthusiastically. "From here, we will work every day to make people's lives and buildings safer by developing security products such as access control, fire protection, communication, and video systems. Here at Strijp-T, engineers will soon be working on prototyping to then roll out production globally."
What is your role?
Anouk: "I work as an HR Business Partner in the Communications department, where I am involved in facilitating talent development and supporting managers in all HR-related matters." "And I am an HR manager, focusing mainly on the Videosystems department," Ingrid continues.
"We are very much looking forward to being located in a new building soon. The initial sketches of how it will look are really cool," said Ingrid. "The great thing is that we are still working in the vibrant Strijp area and now returning to a former Philips building. This completes the circle, as Bosch Security Systems is originally a part of Philips." "Our new premises bring new energy. On Strijp-T, we will be surrounded by innovative companies instead of residential towers like on Strijp-S, which is becoming more of a residential area. And that definitely gives a different vibe," said Anouk.
"As HR, we know better than anyone how important an inspiring workplace and environment are for our organization. Moving to TX is also a great step that aligns with the phase we are in. Since COVID, the new way of working, combining working from home and in the office, is even more relevant. Nowadays, digital and physical team meetings require a modern, inspiring, flexible office layout with enough quiet and meeting spaces."
"Most striking in the design by Stefan de Bever Architects is the 'green engine'. A nod to the past. In the middle of the former machine hall, where green-colored machines used to be built, there will soon be a green-colored 'box-in-box' housing our laboratory spaces. This way, innovation and technology, the core of our organization, are no longer hidden in the basement, but will be the visible centerpiece in the central hall."
"Building TX offers the combination of a historically unique building where the nostalgia is still visible, with new fresh modern workspaces. This mix is a feast for the eyes for our visiting clients and (new) employees."
"We are really looking forward to the lunch walks that will soon be organized at Strijp-T for our company. This way we can check the progress of the construction and see how building TX is becoming more beautiful. At the same time, we can get to know the other Typisch T facilities better, which appeal to us a lot, such as the Strijp-T community with its events."
Who do you want us to invite next time to the party and why?
"At LeydenJar so that we can also get to know our future neighbors in this way; a good neighbor is indeed better than a distant friend."
