On (the) T at Bosch

.... Anouk van Gool and Ingrid Breuer van Bosch.

What does your organization do?

“ We work at Bosch Security Systems, a division of Bosch that will soon, among other things, together with Bosch Rexroth from Boxtel, occupy building TX. To be precise, in that part of TX that you are looking out onto from this construction trailer.”, the two women point out enthusiastically. “From here we will soon work every day on making people's lives and buildings safer by developing security products such as access control, fire protection, communication and video systems. Here on Strijp‑T engineers will soon be engaged in prototyping and then roll out production worldwide.”

What is your role?

Anouk: “I work as an HR Business Partner at the Communications business unit and there, among other things, I am involved in facilitating talent development and guiding managers on all HR-related matters.” “And I am HR manager, with my area of work mainly concerning the Videosystems business unit,” continues Ingrid.

“We are really looking forward to being based in a new building soon. The first sketches of how it will be are very cool,” said Ingrid. “The nice thing is that we will still be working in the vibrant Strijp area and are now returning to a former Philips building. That completes the circle, because Bosch Security Systems originally was part of Philips.” “Our new premises bring new energy. At Strijp-T we will soon be right among innovative companies instead of among residential towers like on Strijp-S, which is increasingly becoming a residential area. And that definitely gives a different vibe,” said Anouk.

“As HR, we know better than anyone how important an inspiring workplace and environment is for our organization. Moving to TX is moreover a nice step that aligns with the phase we are in. Since COVID, the new way of working, i.e. working both from home and at the office, has become even more relevant. Digital and physical team meetings nowadays increasingly call for a modern, inspiring, flexible office layout with sufficient quiet and meeting spaces.”

“Most striking in the design by Stefan de Bever Architects is the ‘green engine’. A nod to the past. In the middle of the former machine hall, where all sorts of green-coloured machines used to be built, there will soon be a green-coloured ‘box-in-box’ housing our lab spaces. This means innovation and technology, the core of our organization, are no longer hidden away in the basement, but from now on the visible focal point in the central hall.”

“Building TX offers the combination of a particularly historic building in which nostalgia is still visibly present, together with new, fresh modern workspaces. This mix is a feast for the eyes for our visiting clients and (new) employees.”

“We are therefore really looking forward to the lunch walks, which will soon be organized on Strijp-T for our company. To thus view the progress of the construction and to see how building TX is becoming more and more beautiful. At the same time to become better acquainted with the other Typisch T facilities, which appeal to us greatly, such as, for example, the Strijp-T community with its events.

Who do you want us to go to on the T next time, and why?

“At LeydenJar so that we can also, in this way, become better acquainted with our future neighbors; after all, a good neighbor is better than a distant friend.”
