What does your organization do?

Accenture, Industry X Industrial Design, is active worldwide in the field of industrial design, with expertise in diverse disciplines. Our focus on designing physical products for the digital age fits very well with Strijp-T's ‘make-create-innovate’ concept.

“My life largely takes place on Strijp; I live, work and exercise in this area and every time I walked past Strijp-T and looked at the Innovation Powerhouse, I imagined how fantastic it would be to be able to work here. It’s so inspiring and industrial here, a very different vibe than at the TU/e, where I worked before. I really enjoy being in the office, have super fun work and nice colleagues. As far as I’m concerned, the perfect combination you don’t find everywhere!’

What is your role?

“Since early 2022 I have been responsible as 'Design Research Lead' for the research within the organization, where my goal is to align the design with the needs of the users.”

“We regularly travel abroad to conduct research with the actual end users, but I still really enjoy being at Strijp. I also really appreciate taking part in the community activities at Strijp-T, such as the rooftop concert and the tournament. And perhaps next year together with my little one and the Easter Bunny search for Easter eggs in the Gloeilampplantsoen.”

“Strijp-T I find a special part of the Strijp area. I see this as the working part of Strijp with young hip companies in an inspiring environment where it's nice to work and you can enjoy a lovely lunch at the adjacent Strijp-S. The large amount of greenery on Strijp makes it also attractive to walk your dog. The only thing I miss is a childcare center in this area.”

Who do you want us to go to on the T next time and why?

“EindhovenGym, because they have managed, besides being active in sports, to build their own close-knit community of enthusiastic sportspeople. As a result, you get to meet a variety of people with a positive, open attitude as one of the common characteristics.”
