BOM Brabant Ventures and Highlands invest in expansion plan that aims to lead to a top 3 global position.
Additive Industries, the Eindhoven-based manufacturer of industrial 3D metal printers, has secured a loan of 10 million euros with BOM Brabant Ventures and majority shareholder Highlands Beheer to accelerate its growth towards a global top 3 position.
"Additive Industries plays an important role in the development of the smart industry in Brabant, one of the focal points in our investment policy," says Miriam Dragstra, CCO of the Brabant Development Company. "The company has everything it takes to become a world-class player. This is beneficial for employment and for the innovation of the manufacturing industry in Brabant. Therefore, we would like to assist the ambitious management team in achieving their global expansion."
Highlands Beheer has been supporting Additive Industries since its establishment in 2012. Jonas Wintermans, who leads the company together with his brother Boris, is also a co-founder of Additive Industries. "From the beginning, we have worked hard to establish a solid financial foundation for Additive Industries' long-term plans," he explains. "We have great confidence in the team's ambitions. This new financial boost is a logical continuation of that."
Ilko Bosman, Chief Financial Officer of Additive Industries, sees the new support as a confirmation of the chosen course. "We are very pleased that we can now expand our collaboration with Highlands and have gained the trust of BOM Brabant Ventures. We will use the funding to increase our R&D activities, strengthen process development, and expand our service infrastructure."
