The company Mujin, which produces intelligent robotics, has opened its European branch in Eindhoven and chosen the region as a springboard for its European development. Mujin has deliberately chosen to establish itself in the historic former Philips Glass Laboratory on Strijp-T, where Avular and KRAGT GROEP have created the innovative robotics workplace concept of "MELT at Avular".

A new international company has joined the thriving high-tech ecosystem of North Brabant. The Japanese company Mujin is establishing its European headquarters in Eindhoven. The first activities started at the end of 2023, and this year the location will be fully operational.

Mujin is a robotics company that was founded in 2011. In Japanese, Mujin means unmanned - the company develops intelligent robot controls. The company's factory robots can make real-time decisions, allowing processes to run faster. Robots carry out each application through the MujinController platform.

"With approximately 300 employees worldwide - two-thirds of whom work in R&D - the Japanese company has opened its European branch in Strijp T, Eindhoven, as the first step towards European expansion. When we wanted to establish a presence in Europe, the North Brabant region was the best option. This is advantageous due to the proximity to customers. Additionally, there is an attractive ecosystem," explains Lukasz Drewnowski, CEO of Mujin Europe."

"It is a very international area, dynamic and full of young talent. Eindhoven is relatively small and it seems like everyone knows each other," he emphasizes. According to Drewnowski, this proximity is a positive aspect. "Very often, high-tech companies get stuck because they need to solve a problem and it takes a lot of time. Here, the network can help you reach the right people and solve any problems faster."

Mujin has consciously chosen to establish itself in the historic former Philips Glass Laboratory on Strijp-T, where Avular and KRAGT Group have created the innovative robotics workplace concept of "MELT at Avular". This location not only offers historical value, but also new benefits for companies active in the robotics and related high-tech sectors. The building is equipped with modern facilities, including offices, laboratories, test rooms, and experience spaces, making it the ideal location for companies like Mujin to stand out within the specialized robotics and high-tech ecosystem. Furthermore, Avular and other leading robotics companies are located in the same building, resulting in a dynamic robotics cluster.
