The company Mujin, which produces intelligent robotics, has opened its European branch in Eindhoven and chosen the region as a springboard for its European development. Mujin has deliberately chosen to establish itself in the historic former Philips Glass Laboratory on Strijp‑T, where Avular and KRAGT GROUP have created the innovative robotics workplace concept "MELT at Avular".

A new international company has joined the flourishing high-tech ecosystem of North Brabant. The Japanese company Mujin is establishing its European headquarters in Eindhoven. At the end of 2023 the first activities began and this year the location will be fully operational.

Mujin is a robotics company that was founded in 2011. In Japanese, Mujin means unmanned – the company develops intelligent robot control systems. The company's factory robots can make decisions in real-time. This allows processes to proceed faster. Robots execute every application via the MujinController-platform.

“With approximately 300 employees worldwide – two-thirds of whom work in R&D – the Japanese company has opened its European office in Strijp T, Eindhoven, the first step on the road to European expansion. When we wanted to set foot in Europe, the North Brabant region was the best option. This is advantageous because of the proximity to customers. Furthermore, there is an attractive ecosystem,” explains Lukasz Drewnowski, CEO of Mujin Europe.

“It's a very international area, dynamic and full of young talent. Eindhoven is relatively small and it seems as if everyone knows each other,” he emphasizes. That proximity is, according to Drewnowski, a positive aspect. “Very often high-tech companies get stuck because they have to solve a problem and need a lot of time for it. Here the network can help you reach the right people and solve any problems faster.”

Mujin has consciously chosen to establish itself in the historic former Philips Glass Laboratory on Strijp‑T, where Avular and KRAGT Group have created the innovative robotics workplace concept of “MELT at Avular”. This location offers not only historical value but also new advantages for companies active in robotics and related high‑tech sectors. The building is equipped with modern facilities, including offices, laboratories, testing spaces and experience spaces, making it the ideal location for companies like Mujin to stand out within the specialized ecosystem for robotics and high‑tech. Moreover, Avular and other leading robotics companies are housed in the same building, resulting in a dynamic robotics cluster.
