Let me introduce myself...
At Strijp-T, since last November, Nick van der Eerden (yes, indeed, a relative of...uncle Wilfred) has been working as an assistant manager. Nick currently works 3 days a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, for 3 hours per day.
Nick lives in Geldrop, is 23 years old, and his hobbies are computing, fishing, archery, and watching Formula 1.
As an assistant caretaker, he helps Wilfred with keeping the premises neat and clean and carrying out small tasks. He rides around with the Strijp-T cargo bike weekly for cleaning up the premises. "I love being outside. And recently, I got a very warm Strijp-T jacket, so even in these cold months, it's no problem to be outside. My favorite spot is the light bulb park because of the many different birds and butterflies that fly around there in the summer."
Nick continues: "I find it very pleasant at Strijp-T. You meet a lot of different people. And there is always something to do. Moreover, the people are very nice and always greet you. And there is always something going on. Sometimes they ask for directions and want to know where a company is located. This sometimes happens in different languages. I also had the opportunity to attend the Christmas drinks recently. Then you also get to know the faces of the people you have only met through email until then."
Nick is proud that the sponsor of PSV, Brainport Development, is located at Strijp-T and decides: "I really like it here. Definitely! And who knows, maybe I will become a manager here just like my uncle in the future. If not as his successor, then maybe as a second manager since many more companies will come in the future."
