The bees and the flowers

The Gluren bij de Buren XL edition took the #StrijpTcommunity by bike to the Philips Fruittuin to see how the StrijpT bees of Strijp-T beekeeper Dirk De Brouwere - Hendrikse are doing.

Due to the huge stock of blossom, the Strijp-T bees will stay with Carlos Faes at the Philips Fruittuin for a few weeks, after which they will move back to StrijpT. This will allow us to have extra StrijpT honey available this year.

In addition to an explanation from Dirk, Carlos explained in what sustainable, innovative, and creative way he operates the Philips Fruittuin and ensures delicious apples, pears, and plums. Thanks to the bees, this results in a better harvest. A great example of both literal and figurative cross-pollination.
