The very first Strijp-T Topper is known!

During the cozy annual Strijp-T volunteers' thank-you BBQ, the Strijp-T Topper tile was presented for the first time yesterday. None other than Nicole Wouters had the honor of receiving it!

The tile – a token of appreciation for volunteers who dedicate themselves in an exceptional way to the Strijp-T community – is awarded twice a year. The jury's choice was unanimous to name Nicole as the first volunteer to be appointed Strijp-T Topper of 2025.

At the award ceremony there was, of course, an official certificate, which was read aloud by Boudie Hoogedeure. In his speech it became clear why Nicole more than deserves this title:

“Nicole has a true Strijp-T heart. Her involvement goes far beyond work or obligation – it comes from pure passion and a connection to what we are building together here as a community. After leaving Accenture she wanted to devote herself completely on a voluntary basis to organizing activities for the community. And when she went looking for a new job, she consciously focused only on companies on Strijp-T. That's how deeply this place sits in her heart.”

But it didn't stop there. Nicole was the initiator and driving force behind the successful Strijp-T Family Day, a new annual event with which she firmly put Strijp-T on the map. For years she was alternately the face of Van Berlo, later Accenture and now agency FRANKEN, but Nicole is and remains the face of the Innovation Powerhouse.

In short: a well-deserved honor and appreciation for someone who breathes Strijp-T. Congratulations, Nicole!
