Herein confirmsBauke Hüsken of the eponymous Cultural-Historical Bureau, that the underground tunnel system that connects the various basements of Philips buildings is highly plausible. He wants to investigate this further in order to map the location of these tunnels.

The municipality of Eindhoven (the new owner of the De Wielewaal estate and former villa of Philips) has indicated that this is not allowed. A civil servant, as it now appears, actually discovered a tunnel during one of the viewings of the Villa! And it is directly connected to the atomic cellar in building TQ. And so the rumor turns out to be true after all! For the first time in years someone has gone via these tunnels from the cellar of the Wielewaal to the atomic cellar in building TQ.

In consultation with the municipality, it has now been decided to close this connection with immediate effect due to privacy considerations and the protection of each other’s property. The commencement of these works will therefore begin as early as next Monday.
