On (the) T at....EindhovenGym

This time the T-pot brought us to the basement of building TQ, where Dreas from EindhovenGym awaits us and enthusiastically gives us a tour of the gym at Strijp-T. More accurately, his gym, because he recently took over this gym from founder Tim together with Mels.

What does your organization do?

“In our gym, enjoying sports is central. By moving more and better, you become fitter, stronger, happier, and hopefully also older. We aim to motivate people to follow a healthy lifestyle. This often happens in group classes where members motivate each other and experience connection. We offer a complete package, from crossfit training and strength training to mobility training and yoga. We also do this outside, like in the light bulb park and on the rooftop terrace”.

What is your role?

“I started at Tim A. as a member when I was still working in consultancy. When exercising at Strijp-T captured my heart, I knew I had to do something with it; I then became a co-owner and followed a training to become a fitness and crossfit instructor to also be able to teach. Now I am working as an entrepreneur with about 300 members”

“Strijp-T offers us an inspiring environment in the center of the trendy Strijp area. This atmosphere greatly contributes to the enjoyment of exercising. Also the fact that you can give outdoor classes in the light bulb park and on the rooftop terrace. A strong bond has been built between different members and there is a sports community within the Strijp-T community”.

“Currently, employees from Strijp-T companies CTOUCH, Ennatuurlijk, Additive Industries, and KRAGT have found their way to EindhovenGym, with Ctouch and Kragt taking group classes with their teams weekly. Sports connect. This is also evident at the Strijp-T Tournament and the ‘Walk Along Strijp-T event’. I want to further strengthen this connection between like-minded people in the Strijp-T community as a representative of 'sports and healthy exercise' here at Strijp-T”.

“My goal for the coming year is to be even more visible at Strijp-T with EindhovenGym and introduce even more people from the community to the possibilities of EindhovenGym. In addition to regular sports classes, we will offer clinics, bootcamps, and workshops on health and exercise, and on healthy eating to make people in the community aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle”.

Who do you want us to visit next time at the T and why?

At Foreside. I am curious about what they do and Danny Peters works there who wants to organize a new running event at Strijp-T next year. I want to help him with that. After all, EindhovenGym is the business card and point of contact when it comes to sports activities at Strijp-T”.
