On (the) T at....Studio TR

This time we went to have tea with Remco Mulder of Atelier TR, which is located in the Innovation Powerhouse.

What does your company do?

“Atelier TR is part of bureau FRANKEN where small independent agencies from different disciplines work closely together on innovative sustainable building, in the broadest sense of the word. This allows us to quickly coordinate with one another and fully relieve the client via a single point of contact.” “The fact that we are located in an inspiring former power plant makes it all the more special. The cross-pollination that arises here among us is, as it were, a new form of energy. The layout of this floor level literally creates space for the Atelier TR initiative.”

What is your role?

“As an architect and designer I am a spider in the web when driving new projects, such as the high-profile project DOMUSDELA. Ensuring a hands-on approach and collaboration with literally diverse specialists around me, which makes it low-threshold and quick to switch.” My personal starting point ‘design as you yourself want to live, work and live’ I apply daily. Likewise in my role as a board member of #InnovationDistrict: organizing and facilitating activities for the Strijp-T community that I myself also finds interesting, fun and/or educational.

Who would you like to see us go on the T with next time and why?

“Preferably at Avular, because in my work I often view designs from the air and am very curious about the latest application possibilities of the drone technology they work with”.
