The municipality has clear plans for the former Philips site behind Strijp-S. The 25 hectares of land are to be filled with creative and innovative manufacturing companies that collaborate with each other.

Only companies that fit the concept are now allowed to establish themselves on the premises. These include, for example, innovative start-ups that are outgrowing their current location at Strijp-S or metal printing company Additive Industries. Space is also being made available for the ICT program of Fontys in building TQ.

The parties in the Eindhoven city council believe that there are still some hurdles to overcome. According to the VVD and GroenLinks, among others, a close look should be taken at the accessibility of the old Philips site now that more people will be working there.

At the end of the summer, the city council will come up with detailed plans and regulations for the area.
