3D printer factory to old Philips factory at Strijp T in Eindhoven
EINDHOVEN - Additive Industries, the producer of advanced automatic 3D metal printers for the industry, is moving to a factory building on Strijp T. The headquarters in building Gerard on Strijp S will be relocated there, as well as the development activities, machine assembly, and testing facility of the company. The assembly is currently being done at the suppliers' factory of NTS Group.

The relocation is driven by the ambition presented last year to grow Additive Industries into a top 3 company in the industrial 3D metal printing market by 2022. With the move, the company hopes to provide enough space for further growth for the rapidly expanding team of Additive Industries, which now consists of approximately 60 employees. The total area is around 4000 square meters, roughly seven times the current spaces.
Former Philips building
The new factory is located in a renovated former Philips building dating back to the fifties of the last century. After renovation, the building is fully sustainable according to the company and meets the highest energy saving requirements and requirements for working conditions.
"We are proud to be able to move into this inspiring example of industrial heritage. We have preserved the original architecture as much as possible and combined it with a touch of modernity," says CEO Daan Kersten of Additive Industries.
The producer of 3D printing machines is experiencing rapid growth. An entrepreneur in Ter Borg is investing in a new chain under the name K3D. In each branch of this new company, Eindhoven 3D metal printers will be installed. Customers in the area can then have their parts printed on them.
New branches
Last year, a branch of Additive Industries in California was announced, and last month a decision was made to open a similar branch in Singapore. In both branches, the company will install a metal printer on which companies can conduct practical tests. The company has also started establishing an international sales network. So far, Additive Industries has sold approximately fifteen machines, each costing around 1.8 million euros.
