Walk along Strijp-T

This past weekend was marked by the marathon in Eindhoven. There were various distances you could run, including the quarter marathon (10km).

This year the Strijp-T running team consisted of over 50 runners from 17 different companies with 9 different nationalities.

After the customary group photo and eating a Strijp-T banana, Tim van Lier of CelSian came in with a finishing time of 37:24 as the first Strijp-T runner among the men and thus as the 12th runner of the 6.000 runners across the finish. Among the women, Estelle Fraysse of Accenture l with a finishing time of 55:29 was the fastest Strijp-T runner 2024.

With thousands of enthusiastic runners who ran past Strijp-T, the energy in the air was palpable. The buildings of Strijp-T formed a beautiful autumn backdrop and added an extra layer of atmosphere to the charm of this sporting event and to the vibe of Brainport Eindhoven. Congratulations to all participants for their achievements.

Afterwards people chatted over coffee and warm sausage rolls provided by Strijp‑T manager Wilfred van der Eerden and his wife Ilse, and at Deity there was even an afterparty with a bouncy castle for all the runners and colleagues who came with their children to watch and cheer.
