Strijp-T surprises during Hightech Discovery Route (HTOR)
Last Saturday Strijp-T was a bustling part of the Hightech Discovery Route. Around 350 visitors took a look behind the scenes at innovative high-tech companies and enjoyed various activities, such as, among others, printing a 3D keychain, an AI workshop at Fontys ICT, robotics demonstrations in building TY by Ron Meelen of colab.nl and by Rian Dings of TechKicks, and a lecture on the history of Strijp-T by Buuv Sietske Aussems of Braintours Eindhoven.
Also a number of our colleagues have been spotted at some of the locations.
A Strijp-T train took visitors past the various renovated former Philips factories. And via a spectacular zip line from the roof of building TQ, people could glide into the Gloeilampplantsoen. Building TX partially opened the construction barriers and visitors could, from the sixth floor of the office tower TX2 that was under construction, enjoy an impressive view – with an ice-cold iced tea as a reward for their trip upstairs.
The atmosphere was very cosy and the reactions were unanimously positive: “How beautiful it is here!”, “I am really impressed” and “What a surprising place”. In short: even more people are now Proud of T! Just imagine working here…
The future of Strijp-T also became visible: Bosch Rexroth, Shapeways, LeydenJar and Genexis – the first new tenants of building TX – already introduced themselves to the public.
Dank aan de overige Strijp-T bedrijven die hebben bijgedragen tot deze eerste succesvolle edite: Accenture, Brainport Development, Sorama, EindhovenGym, Sal-T, Melt, SoMMedia en BRIL innovatie.
