Glass laboratory: once again a gem of Strijp-T in Eindhoven is being polished up.

And once again an old Philips building in Eindhoven is given a new purpose. The Glass Laboratory, building TY on Strijp-T, is being stripped on the inside and converted into space for one or two high-tech production companies.

The building where Philips began experimenting with all kinds of glass for special products after the war is now a mess. Inside, all sorts of offices, warehouses and meeting rooms have been built. The asbestos has already been removed, and soon the old partition walls and all the furniture will be taken out so you can see through it again. Then the three large halls, ten and seventeen meters high, will once again be fully appreciated. "Then you see the enormous potential of this building," said Boudie Hoogedeure of owner/developer GEVA BV.
